Uplifting talent in our community

First Tech Fund is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering low income high school students in identifying, navigating, and attaining academic and professional opportunities. First Tech Fund provides a supportive, adaptive ecosystem where students get access to free tech, free broadband, skills training, social capital, mentorship, and more.

We’re equipping students for lifelong success

Access to Technology

All students deserve access to Wi-Fi and computers in their households, as it opens the door to a world of possibilities. We provide each student with a laptop to keep forever and a wifi hotspot with unlimited broadband access.

Building a Network

Our Fellows will get access to young professionals from all over the country, who are knowledgeable in different disciplines and industries like finance, law, healthcare, social impact, government, nonprofit, entrepreneurship, and more.

Mentorship

Each student is given a mentor who works in a field that they’ve expressed interest in. The student meets with their mentor once a month and can get support on extracurricular program applications, college applications, and more.

Practical Curriculum

We introduce students to careers across industries through BIPOC-led panels and host workshops around financial literacy, public speaking, and more. Students can also suggest topics to contribute towards their own learning and aspirations.

“First Tech Fund enabled me to be a part of a collaborative community that supports, uplifts, and learns from each other because not only am I surrounded by like minded peers, but also my mentor provides personal guidance regarding my future career path and college applications.”

Make a difference today!

We’re raising funds for the 2024–2025 school year, to empower at least 100 students with a personal computer and Wi-Fi hotspot to be prepared for college applications, scholarships, summer programs, and online professional development. Help us reach more students across NYC!
